Career

According to La Silla Rota in 2021, López took over the family's tacos de guisado business from his uncle, Vicente Mejía, who had started it about fifty years earlier and ran it for its first twelve years. López had managed it for 38 years at the time of the article and worked alongside his two sons, serving tacos every morning in downtown Veracruz.
