Jesús Villarreal
Jesús "Chuy" Villarreal is a Monterrey chef who created the recipes for Taquería Orinoco and founded the restaurants Pinto Bar and Cara de Vaca.
Career
Villarreal was born in Monterrey in 1978. He developed the recipes for Orinoco, a taquería opened in 2015 on Río Orinoco in San Pedro Garza García, built around trompo, beef and chicharrón norteño served on flour or corn tortillas. The concept expanded to Mexico City in 2017 and by 2026 had six branches there and three in the Monterrey area, becoming one of the best-known taco brands in the capital. He is also the founder of the Monterrey restaurants Pinto Bar and Cara de Vaca.
