La Once Mil

Also known as: La Oncemil

La Once Mil is a taquería in the Lomas de Chapultepec district of Mexico City that in 2026 became the only taquería holding a star in the Michelin Guide Mexico.

History

The taquería takes its name from 11000, the postal code of the Lomas de Chapultepec neighborhood where its first location sits. It is led by chef César de la Parra and runs on a first-come, first-served basis. Reports in 2026 noted a second branch on Orizaba 83 in Roma Norte.

When the 2026 Michelin Guide Mexico was announced, La Once Mil received one star. Because El Califa de León lost its star the same year, it became the only taquería in the starred selection.

La Once Mil applies premium cuts to taquería formats. A trompo is stacked with Black Angus sirloin, and the menu also lists rib eye, picanha, pork belly, carnitas and wagyu tacos, along with a campechano. Michelin inspectors singled out the prime arrachera and the handmade tortillas, which come in several varieties and are cooked to order. Each table gets house salsas ranging from a mild fresh sauce to a spicy martajada of árbol and morita chiles. Non-taco dishes include spicy tuna tostadas, thin-sliced Japanese wagyu delgaditas and sopa de fideo.
