Los Arroyos

From WikiTacos, the taco encyclopedia · Taquería

Los Arroyos is a family-run Mexican restaurant in Santa Barbara, California, with branches in Montecito and Goleta, known for handmade flour and corn tortillas.

History

Visit Santa Barbara describes Los Arroyos as family-run since 1999 under chef and owner Tony Arroyo. A 2015 Santa Barbara Independent survey listed locations at West Figueroa Street downtown and on Coast Village Road in Montecito; the tourism bureau also names a Goleta branch.

Tortillas, both flour and corn, are made by hand, and tacos can be ordered crisp or soft. Taco plates come with a choice of side dishes. Visit Santa Barbara lists the restaurant in the State Street section of its taco trail, a stretch that also includes Lilly's, Taquería Cuernavaca and Super Cuca's. With its downtown, Montecito and Goleta branches, Los Arroyos is one of the few local Mexican businesses spread across the south coast of Santa Barbara County.
