Overview

Los Tecatacos is at Avenida José Vasconcelos 342, Local F, in San Pedro Garza García in the Monterrey metropolitan area. It was recognized in the PLAYERS' Restaurant's Choice 2023, and PLAYERS of Life noted in 2024 that it caters to large events such as the Pa'l Norte music festival.

Its specialty is birria de res (beef birria) seasoned in the Tijuana style, PLAYERS of Life reported.

Tijuana-style birria is made with beef stewed in a red chile broth, and the tacos are commonly dipped in the consommé. It differs from the goat birria of Jalisco, where the dish originated. The same PLAYERS of Life roundups also feature Americana and Tacos Atarantados, both on Avenida José Vasconcelos.
