Los Toritos

From WikiTacos, the taco encyclopedia · Taquería

Los Toritos is a family-run taquería in central Tlalpan, Mexico City, known for handmade tortillas and pastor tortas.

Overview

Chilango picked Los Toritos, at Tlalpan 4915 in Tlalpan Centro, as the representative taquería of the Tlalpan zone. The family business makes its tortillas by hand and is known for the campechano and for rib tacos with cheese (costilla con queso). Its tortas, especially the pastor torta, also earned a special mention.

The magazine noted that the place fills early in the afternoon but that service is fast, and recommended the pico de gallo and the creamy green salsa. It opens in the afternoon and stays open until about 2 a.m.

Context

Chilango's 2023 feature En busca del taco más chilango chose one representative taquería for each of fifteen zones of the capital and its suburbs, favoring neighborhood spots over viral ones.
