Taco Green

From WikiTacos, the taco encyclopedia · Taquería

Taco Green is a plant-based taquería in a small plaza in the La Cruz neighborhood of Querétaro.

Overview

CódigoQro listed Taco Green at Manuel Gutiérrez Nájera Sur 22 in La Cruz, inside a small plaza where it shares tables with neighboring businesses. The site suggested pairing a visit with a drink at Café 1889 in the same plaza.

The menu is plant-based and includes gourmet tacos, a dish called the Veggie-bond, mole, a tofu version of fish tacos called tofu-fishless, a monthly special, a meat-free pastorcito and choripapa (potato with chorizo-style seasoning).

Querétaro's taquerías draw on styles from other regions as well as local ones; CódigoQro noted in 2022 that several of the city's best-known stands advertise the taco flavor of Arandas, a town in the Altos de Jalisco, and the city's markets and side streets also hold many tacos de guisado and gordita stands.
