Overview

Chilango selected Tacos Brasil Copacabana, at San Juan de Dios 497 in Prados Coapa, as the representative taquería for the Coapa zone, describing it as the area's taquería of a lifetime. The signature is an XXL bistec taco topped with avocado, tomato, onion and peppers, and the suadero is the alternative. The menu has expanded to include set lunches (comida corrida).

Context

Coapa is a residential area of southern Mexico City in the Tlalpan and Coyoacán boroughs. Chilango's 2023 feature En busca del taco más chilango chose one representative taquería for each of fifteen zones of the capital and its suburbs, favoring neighborhood spots over viral ones. Its name evokes the famous beach in Rio de Janeiro.
