Tacos El Güero Jr. is an evening taquería in Lomas del Seminario, Zapopan, opened in 2024 by the son of the taquero behind a long-running stand on Avenida Patria.

History

The business belongs to César, known as El Güero Junior, who spent 14 years working at his father's taco stand on Avenida Patria, a few blocks from Avenida Guadalupe, before opening his own place. El Informador reported in December 2024 that it had been open for about ten months. It has a well-lit dining room and a longer menu than the original Güero de Patria stand.

Beef head cuts lead the list: cachete (cheek), served chopped or in chunks, along with carnaza and lengua. The menu also includes adobada, chorizo, suadero, gringas and tacos dorados, sold by the order or half order. Four salsas are served: a mild green salsa, a medium tomatillo salsa and two very hot ones made with chile de árbol and serrano.

The taquería is at Avenida Ludwig van Beethoven 4862, between Avenida Cordilleras and Avenida Patria. It opens Monday to Saturday from 6:30 to 11:30 p.m.
