Tacos La Choza
Tacos La Choza is a small taquería in Colonia Americana, Guadalajara, that puts premium beef and game meats into tacos on fresh tortillas.
Overview
Tacos La Choza is at Calle Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra 81 in Colonia Americana, close to the Lafayette area. It is a small space with little seating, and its prices run higher than those of a typical street stand. Tortillas are made fresh.
Menu
La Choza is the most upmarket of the taquerías in México Desconocido's 2026 Guadalajara guide. The menu centers on prime cuts such as rib eye and picaña (picanha), and adds game and less common meats: jabalí (wild boar), venado (venison), conejo (rabbit) and pato (duck). Vegan diners are served tacos of flor de jamaica, the dried hibiscus flower more often used for agua fresca.
World of Tacos also lists duck, picanha and wild boar as signatures. The approach contrasts with the barbacoa and birria stands that dominate older parts of the city.
