Overview

Tacos Moy is at Avenida de los Arcos 930 in Jardines del Bosque, a residential district on the west side of Guadalajara. World of Tacos describes a drive-through format designed for quick service, and a large salsa bar for diners who stay.

The specialty is tacos al vapor (steamed tacos). Fillings include beef, chicharrón, and shrimp with cheese. On certain days the shop also steams tacos of pastor cooked in red wine.

Steamed tacos, also called sudados or de canasta, are kept warm in a covered basket or steamer so that the tortillas soften around the filling. Shrimp and wine-braised pastor are less usual than the potato, bean and chicharrón fillings found at most steamed-taco stands in the city.

World of Tacos notes that its prices can run higher than those of street stands.
