Taquería Los Alteños is a Zapopan taquería with a long menu of beef, pastor and head-meat tacos, listed first among the top-rated tacos in the 2023 PLAYERS' Restaurant's Choice for the Guadalajara area.

Overview

Los Alteños is at Avenida Lapizlázuli 3176 in Colonia Victoria, Zapopan. El Informador reported in 2024 that it opened from 10 a.m. to 1 a.m., covering both daytime and late-night trade. It appeared first in El Informador's list of the six taquerías rated highest by the PLAYERS' Restaurant's Choice 2023 council, and PLAYERS of Life listed it again in 2024.

The menu spans pastor, bistec, chorizo and the head cuts typical of tapatío taquerías: cabeza, carnaza, cachete, lengua and sesos (brains). It also offers quesadillas, vampiros (tortillas toasted crisp with cheese), gringas and the taquiqueso.

The name alteño refers to Los Altos de Jalisco, the highland region in the east of the state.

Its hours are longer than those of the morning barbacoa stands and evening head-meat taquerías on the same list.
