Taquitos Tito

From WikiTacos, the taco encyclopedia · Taquería

Taquitos Tito is a taquería in Santa Cruz Buenavista, Puebla, run by Víctor Ortega, a taquero from Zacatecas, with tacos named for their fillings in playful slang.

History

Víctor Ortega, called Tito, started making tacos in Zacatecas some thirty years before a 2021 profile in Revista 360 Grados, and later moved to Puebla, where he had been working for about ten years at the time of that article. He told the magazine that he left Zacatecas because of insecurity. The taquería is at Calzada Zavaleta 2346a in Santa Cruz Buenavista.

The menu is broad and comes with a range of salsas. Several tacos carry joking names: the taco de político is beef tongue, the taco de hombre is machitos (wrapped and grilled intestines), and the taco de lencho is lechón (roast suckling pig). The magazine recommended those three.
