Urbana Mexican Gastronomy and Mixology
Urbana Mexican Gastronomy and Mixology is a restaurant in the Anaheim Packing District serving gourmet tacos inspired by the street food of Michoacán, on handmade tortillas.
Overview
Urbana opened in the Anaheim Packing District, a restored 1919 citrus packing house that was converted into a food hall and helped revive downtown Anaheim in the 2010s. In 2018 ABC7 included it among Latin American restaurants to explore in Orange County, describing a menu inspired by the street food of Michoacán, with gourmet tacos, snapper ceviche and handmade tortillas, and recommending it as a date-night destination.
Menu
Michoacán, in west-central Mexico, is the home of carnitas and of the corundas and uchepos of Purépecha cooking, and many of Orange County's taquerías are run by families from the state. Urbana presents that heritage in a restaurant that, as its name indicates, gives equal billing to its bar program.
