Juan Manuel García Osuna is a Mazatlán taquero who runs the carne asada cart Tacos Juan in Colonia Flores Magón.

Biography

García Osuna grew up in El Verde, Concordia, in southern Sinaloa, and moved to Mazatlán at 19. He worked for about 24 years in the family taquería in Colonia Juárez before buying a cart and its salsa recipe from his brother-in-law. He has run that cart, beside the Mercado del Conchi on Avenida Manuel Clouthier, for more than two decades, cooking with his son Juan Carlos. His wife, Guadalupe Peraza, helps from home, and all three of their children run taquerías of their own in Mazatlán. He was 67 in 2025 and said he planned to keep working.
