Tacos Juan

From WikiTacos, the taco encyclopedia · Taquería

Tacos Juan is a nighttime carne asada taco cart in the Flores Magón neighborhood of Mazatlán, Sinaloa, run by Juan Manuel García Osuna and his family.

History

Juan Manuel García Osuna came to Mazatlán at 19 from El Verde, in the municipality of Concordia in southern Sinaloa. He spent about 24 years working at his family's taquería on Calle 13 de Abril in Colonia Juárez, which a brother still runs as Tacos Jorge, before buying a cart from his brother-in-law, who also taught him the salsa recipe. By 2025 he had run his own cart for 23 years. His wife, Guadalupe Peraza, supports the business from home, and their three children, Mayra, Erika and Juan Carlos, each run a taquería in Mazatlán.

The specialty is carne asada tacos that the family describes as carrying the flavor of El Verde. The salsa, unchanged for more than 40 years, is considered the cart's secret. Juan Manuel and his son Juan Carlos cook, with five other people working the cart.
