Overview

Where The Road Forks lists Tacos El Gordo at Avenida Constitución 992 in the Zona Centro and at Boulevard Sánchez Taboada 9210 in the Zona Río, among three Tijuana locations, and says the family behind it has been in the food business since 1972. Its specialties are carne asada and adobada, along with suadero, cabeza, buche, lengua, tripa and chorizo. It also operates in San Diego and Las Vegas.

The San Diego Reader noted that the downtown El Gordo stands a few steps from Tacos Franc.

Context
