Taquería El Paisa@.com is an East Oakland taquería known for suadero and offal tacos, and was one of the first Oakland taquerías to receive a Bib Gourmand from the MICHELIN Guide.

Overview

The taquería is often referred to simply as El Paisa.com, a name that distinguishes it from a separate El Paisa taquería and taco truck elsewhere on International Boulevard. When the MICHELIN Guide published its new California Bib Gourmand selections in September 2021, it called the restaurant an Oakland institution and a leading destination for tacos in the city, singling out its tripe and cabeza. The San Francisco Chronicle's coverage of that list described it as a taco staple receiving Michelin recognition for the first time.

Meat is the focus of the menu. The house specialty is suadero, simmered in a broad metal pot in the Mexico City manner, alongside tripas, lengua, buche and carne asada. Tacos are served on doubled corn tortillas with charred onion and grilled nopal. Ordering follows a cashier-and-ticket system, and an outdoor salsa bar offers pickled onions and carrots along with several salsas.
