Taquería Frontera

From WikiTacos, the taco encyclopedia · Taquería
Also known as: Taqueria Frontera

Taquería Frontera is a street-corner taquería on Cypress Avenue in the Cypress Park neighborhood of Los Angeles, the American counterpart of a Tijuana taco chain known for al pastor.

Overview

The Infatuation describes Frontera as a casual corner spot with sidewalk counter seating that faces the grills. It is a sibling of Tijuanazo in East Los Angeles, which is run by another child of the same founder. A later branch opened in Silver Lake, which The Infatuation found less successful than the Cypress Park original.

The signature is al pastor shaved from a trompo and topped with pineapple and a cilantro crema. Chorizo, asada and lengua tacos are also served, along with a lengua burrito and frijoles sencillos, stewed pinto beans.
