Tres de Barbacha
Tres de Barbacha is a Jalisco-style barbacoa taquería on Calle Vidrio in Guadalajara's Colonia Americana, known for its cheese-topped barbacheese.
Overview
Tres de Barbacha is at Vidrio 1855, at the corner of Colonias, in Colonia Americana. Its name uses barbacha, a colloquial word for barbacoa, and refers to the usual order: the tacos are small, so three is the recommended number.
Menu
The barbacoa is made in the Jalisco manner and served soft or dorada (crisped). The house barbacheese adds melted cheese. The menu also includes cheese tacos, lonches, sopes, quesadillas and burritos, and the consommé is recommended.
Gastrolab and El Diario de un Tragón both list the taquería among the best places in the city for barbacoa, praising its seasoning and the way its tortilla and meat work together.
Gastrolab's 2021 taco route grouped it with Tacos Charlie on Avenida Naciones Unidas as the places to try Jalisco-style barbacoa.
