Also known as: Corazon Cocina

Corazón Cocina is a taco stand in the Santa Barbara Public Market run by chef and owner Ramon Velazquez, and a MICHELIN Bib Gourmand since 2021.

Overview

The stand operates inside the Santa Barbara Public Market, a food hall in Santa Barbara. Chef-owner Ramon Velazquez leads the kitchen. The MICHELIN Guide named it a new Bib Gourmand in its 2021 California selections, and it kept the designation in the 2025 and 2026 editions. The 2021 announcement that first recognized it also added several Northern California taquerías, among them Tacos Oscar and Taquería El Paisa@.com in Oakland, Los Carnalitos in Hayward and Nixtaco in Roseville, and Michelin's May 2026 roundup of California's most affordable restaurants again listed Corazón Cocina.

Michelin's inspectors highlighted two elements: tortillas made by hand and bright, assertive salsas. The format is that of a counter-service taco stand within a market hall, rather than a full restaurant. Corazón means heart in Spanish.
