Taquería Santa Fe

From WikiTacos, the taco encyclopedia · Taquería

Taquería Santa Fe is an evening taquería in the Santa Fe district of Zapopan specializing in beef head cuts.

Overview

Taquería Santa Fe is at Calle Eva Briseño 593 in the Santa Fe area of Zapopan, in the Guadalajara metropolitan area. El Informador's 2024 report on the PLAYERS' Restaurant's Choice 2023 survey included it among the area's six top-rated taquerías. It opens in the evening, from 5:30 to 11 p.m.

The menu is devoted to beef head cuts: cabeza, carnaza, sesos (brains), labio (lip) and lengua (tongue).

Head-meat tacos are a Guadalajara evening tradition. The cuts are usually steamed until tender and chopped to order, and diners choose between the softer, fattier cuts such as labio and sesos and leaner ones such as carnaza and lengua. Similar menus appear at other tapatío taquerías such as Súper Taco Tomás and Taquería Los Alteños.
