Tacos Richard

From WikiTacos, the taco encyclopedia · Taquería

Tacos Richard is a guisado taco truck parked at the corner of Alfonso Reyes and Tamaulipas in Condesa, Mexico City, best known for milanesa with guacamole.

Overview

Tacos Richard operates from a truck on a street corner in Condesa rather than from a storefront, a common arrangement for the guisado stands that serve the neighborhood's workers at lunch. Chilango included it in a 2024 roundup of Condesa's essential taquerías.

Its signature is milanesa, a thin breaded cutlet, topped with guacamole. The rest of the line-up follows the guisado tradition of slow-cooked fillings kept warm in pots: carnitas, bistec a la mexicana with tomato and chile, chile relleno, chicharrón in green salsa, and pork with verdolagas (purslane). Customers usually choose one or two fillings per taco and add salsa at the counter.

Context

The stand is part of a cluster of long-running guisado spots in Condesa that includes Tacos Don Juan and La Hortaliza.
