Overview

Don Dany sells at the corner of Avenida Vallarta and Avenida Patria, one of the main crossroads on Guadalajara's west side. Gastrolab's 2021 taco route said the business then had more than 30 years of experience.

The tacos are al vapor, also called sudados or de canasta: tortillas filled in advance and kept warm so they soften in their own steam. Fillings are beans, potato, beef and chicharrón, and they are served with chiles and pickled vegetables.

Gastrolab presents them as a typical Guadalajara breakfast taco. The stand was the first stop on its 2021 taco route, which went on to the birrierías of Santa Teresita and Las Nueve Esquinas and the barbacoa of Tacos Charlie and Tres de Barbacha. Other steamed-taco businesses in the city include Tacos al Vapor Oscar and Tacos Moy.
